Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Maintenance Technician to join our team in Bridgeton, MO. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance, component inspections, and repairs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance and component inspections
  • Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
  • Identify root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required
  • Replace defective components as instructed
  • Perform facility maintenance duties and interact with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint
  • Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available
  • Work in accordance with all federal and corporate compliance guidelines
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
  • Basic tools, required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
