Job Title: Residential Construction Assistant Superintendent

At GPAC, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Construction Assistant Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our construction management team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Project Manager with the daily operations and administration of high-end residential construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Site Management: Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager to oversee a single project site, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Resource Coordination: Assist in identifying and organizing the necessary resources and team members to meet project objectives.
  • Meeting Participation: Attend and contribute to various project status meetings, providing updates and insights as needed.
  • Issue Identification: Proactively alert the Senior Project Manager to any potential deviations from the project plan or schedule.
  • Confidentiality & Ethics: Uphold a high standard of confidentiality and ethical behavior in all tasks.
  • Procurement Support: Aid in the procurement process, including bid solicitation, material selection, and contractor engagement.
  • Communication Tracking: Monitor and filter communication to ensure no critical details are overlooked.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience, with a preference for candidates familiar with California's construction landscape.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and analyzing architectural plans, with a strong understanding of local city and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Customer Focus: Dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Problem Solving: Capable of identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues effectively.
