Special Projects Technician

TAK Communications is seeking a highly skilled Special Projects Technician to join our team in Madison, WI. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of our projects, including multi-dwelling unit (MDU) service calls, cable, internet, and security product installs, maintenance, and upkeep of our warehouse.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, ensuring all equipment and parts are properly stored and inventoried.
- Track and manage inventory levels, placing orders and managing deliveries to ensure timely restocking.
- Issue and return equipment to technicians on a daily and weekly basis, completing a daily reconciliation of equipment levels.
- Participate in company vehicle management, cleaning and detailing vehicles, and delivering vehicles requiring repair to the repair shop.
- Assign uniforms, tools, and safety gear to technicians, ensuring invoices are signed.
- Perform installations and changes of service, adhering to applicable codes, requirements, guidelines, company procedures, and safe work practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns, ensuring products and services are working properly to drive a positive customer experience.
- Prioritize, organize, and efficiently complete tasks to meet deadlines, working independently in a variety of environments.
- Warehouse experience preferred, with general construction experience also a plus.
- Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to learn and operate testing equipment and software/programs.
- Ability to utilize hand tools, identify wire size/color, and accurately utilize measuring devices.
- Ability to carry, climb, operate, and work upon an extension ladder (approximately 28 feet high and 75 pounds).
- Ability to complete work indoors, outdoors, in tight spaces, and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75lbs.
- Valid driver's license and passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen).
