Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer - Mechanical to join our Building Services team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and managing mechanical and plumbing systems for various projects, including schools, municipal buildings, healthcare facilities, and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical and plumbing systems, including calculations, layouts, sizing, equipment selection, specification, and coordination.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Review and process shop drawings and submittals.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
  • Communicate with clients and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Manage projects from start to finish, including project planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Assist in mentoring junior technicians and engineers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in mechanical and/or plumbing design as an engineering MEP consultant or plumbing contractor.
  • Wisconsin Professional Engineer license and/or DES required.
  • Experience with architectural projects, including schools, municipal buildings, healthcare facilities, and commercial buildings.
  • Prior experience coordinating projects from start to finish with contractors, clients, and other disciplines.
  • Prior project management experience.
  • Authorization to work in the United States for any employer.
