Position Overview

Job Type: Full-time NOC Shift

Compensation: Starting at $19.75 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assistance with Daily Living: Provide support to residents in all aspects of their daily living activities as outlined in their personalized service plans. Report any noticeable changes in residents' physical, social, medical, or mental health to the Registered Nurse or Director. Ensure timely completion of all required documentation.
  • Housekeeping Duties: Carry out daily cleaning tasks and laundry services in accordance with established policies and procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization in both work and communal areas.
  • Meal Service Support: Assist with meal preparation and service, including setting up, serving, and cleaning the dining area while adhering to sanitation and infection control protocols.
  • Medication Administration: Administer prescribed oral medications, eye drops, and topical treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse, ensuring accurate documentation and immediate reporting of any medication errors.
  • Activity Participation: Initiate, lead, and engage in resident activities as assigned, fostering a vibrant community atmosphere.
  • Transportation: May be required to transport residents to appointments and community events using a county vehicle.
  • Continuing Education: Commit to attending a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education annually.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of first aid practices is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with patient care methodologies and protocols is beneficial.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent communication abilities to effectively engage with residents, their families, and healthcare staff.
  • A compassionate and patient-centered approach to caregiving.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills to efficiently manage multiple responsibilities.

Work Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts, totaling 36 hours per week
  • Includes holidays
  • Night shifts
  • Rotating weekends
