Are you looking for a rewarding career with an organization that puts people first? Credit Union of Georgia is seeking a talented Mortgage Servicing Specialist to join our busy and growing mortgage team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage administrative aspects of mortgage servicing, including processing payment files, monitoring escrow accounts, and compiling monthly remittance information for investors.
  • Answer member service questions and provide top-level service every time.
  • Perform post-closing loan delivery and quality control duties, ensuring accurate preparation of supporting documentation and records according to credit union policies and procedures.
  • Maintain mortgage servicing escrow records, input and disbursement of tax and insurance information, and preparation of servicing disclosures.
  • Assist with mortgage payment file processing and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Research, prepare records, and reports regarding loan origination, closing, and servicing activities as needed.
  • Build and maintain successful internal and external member relationships by adhering to loan processing and servicing time constraints.
  • Communicate efficiently and openly to achieve goals in a collaborative, positive manner.
  • Develop a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of mortgage lending and servicing, as well as Credit Union of Georgia products and services.
  • Complete additional training when assigned to stay abreast of compliance, guidelines, servicing, and market changes.
  • Comply with all Credit Union policies and procedures, applicable laws, and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Proficient technical skills.
  • Experience with mortgage loan software.
  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Willingness to learn new concepts to grow and advance.
  • Maintain a professional image that represents the values of Credit Union of Georgia.
  • Be an ambassador for exceptional internal and external member service.
Experience:
  • Two years of similar or related experience.
  • Prior lending, underwriting, and credit experience preferred.
Education/Certifications/Licenses:
  • A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school is preferred.
  • Incumbents are required to maintain their registration active and current with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) throughout their employment.
