Job Overview

Position Summary: The role involves collaborating with senior leadership within the squadron on a daily and weekly basis to develop both long-term and short-term schedules. This ensures comprehensive coverage of all pilots, aircrew, instructors, evaluators, support staff, and supervisory roles.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Secret Clearance.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Military technical training in scheduling is advantageous.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a squadron scheduling program is required.
  • Two years' experience with PEX or a similar scheduling software is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for at least two years is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the squadron operations officer, weapons officer, scheduling officer, training officer, and aviation resource management personnel to create long-range schedules that meet mission qualifications, training, exercises, and testing requirements.
  • Generate and disseminate unit schedules using PEX, GTIMS, or future government-mandated systems, covering various training events.
  • Monitor personnel availability, including leave and medical appointments, to ensure operational readiness.
  • Update scheduling data daily to reflect any changes or completions.
  • Facilitate last-minute schedule adjustments to maintain mission coverage.
  • Gather aircraft and equipment availability data from maintenance teams.
  • Assist in determining training requirements based on syllabus needs and resource availability.
  • Track training requirements to ensure accurate scheduling and report updates to leadership.
  • Coordinate with external agencies for special event scheduling as necessary.
  • Participate in scheduling meetings to ensure coordination and conflict resolution.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to adapt swiftly to changing situations in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with administrative procedures, including word processing and record management.
  • Understanding of customer service principles and processes.
  • Ability to analyze new information for effective problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in task completion.
