About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Applications Analyst to join our team at Duke Energy. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our applications, ensuring their availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain the production operation of assigned applications, ensuring their availability and performance.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support and respond to production emergencies within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Lead troubleshooting and implement fixes to assigned solutions, resolving complex issues that require significant freedom of action and sound judgment.
  • Communicate effectively with users, IT management, and other stakeholders, presenting information on technically complex subjects in an understandable manner.
  • Work with vendors to implement and support applications and solutions, utilizing waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Coordinate and perform routine maintenance for emergency patches, service packs, and upgrades for assigned applications/projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of related work experience.
  • Expert coding skills in one or more of Duke Energy's standard languages.
  • Demonstrated success in complex problem-solving and quality delivery.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with others having differing priorities/views/goals.
Working Conditions

This role will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. Hybrid employees should live within a reasonable daily commute to a Duke Energy facility.
