Role of a Lead Software Architect at iManage...

We are in search of a dedicated Lead Software Architect with substantial hands-on expertise in developing a robust cloud infrastructure for iManage's advanced document management solutions. This individual will take on a leadership role, guiding small teams through agile methodologies within our cloud services division.

Your contributions will be pivotal in the design, development, and deployment of essential, large-scale applications. We are committed to continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) and utilize state-of-the-art technologies such as RxJava, Docker, Storm, AWS, Elasticsearch, and MariaDB. Key Responsibilities...

  • Architecting and implementing modules and functionalities for the iManage Work suite of products.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to develop integrated solutions.
  • Working closely with product managers to validate new features.
  • Promoting software engineering best practices, including unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation, alongside tools like GitHub and JIRA.
  • Effectively communicating and presenting to both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Continuously seeking personal and professional growth while sharing knowledge with colleagues worldwide.

Qualifications...

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of experience in creating scalable distributed systems.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities; recent experience in guiding small teams using Agile Scrum methodologies; demonstrable history of product ownership.
  • Expertise in Java programming.
  • Solid background in developing REST APIs for complex systems; familiarity with full-stack development is advantageous.
  • Proficient in relational database systems with a strong grasp of transaction management; exposure to NoSQL systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and design proficiency in key technology areas such as high-transaction systems, microservices architectures, fault-tolerant designs, and data security.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices, including threat modeling, is beneficial.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build management in a Cloud/SaaS context; familiarity with Docker as a delivery tool is preferred.
