Job Title: Social Worker - Mental Health Professional

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at the South Dakota Human Services Center. As a Social Worker, you will provide mental health care to adults and adolescent patients, assisting them in recognizing and managing psychosocial needs and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health care to adults and adolescent patients
  • Assist patients in recognizing and managing psychosocial needs and resources
  • Lead in providing clinical support and oversight to direct care staff
  • Develop and implement effective therapy, treatment approaches, and teaching curriculum
  • Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work
  • Eligible to be certified as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) per SDCL 27A-1-3
  • Ability to apply proper interviewing techniques, write meaningful reports, and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people
