Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Registered Dietitian I PRN at TriStar Food & Nutrition is a qualified professional with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. This role involves conducting assessments, implementing dietary interventions, and overseeing patient evaluations through the Nutrition Care Process, while ensuring exceptional service to all patients and staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing nutrition screening tools to identify patients at nutritional risk.
  • Applying the Nutrition Care Process for thorough patient assessment and intervention planning.
  • Initiating care plans for patients with complex medical needs, including those requiring specialized nutrition support.
  • Providing nutrition counseling for both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Adhering to established nutrition care guidelines and protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Registered Dietitian certification within six months of hire.
  • State licensure as a Dietitian within six months of hire.
  • Maintenance of a professional portfolio with required continuing education credits.

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrating competency in specified areas as outlined in the Competency Checklist.
  • Meeting performance goals established annually.
  • Integrating ethical practices and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Supporting the mission and values of the facility.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
