Overview: ResourceMFG is seeking a skilled Cost Analysis Accountant to join our team, supporting a prominent energy sector client.

This is a direct hire opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accounting entries necessary for the monthly financial close process.
- Collaborate with the Plant Controller to ensure the precise recording of all plant accounting activities and the effectiveness of internal financial controls.
- Work alongside the Plant Controller and Plant Operations to assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and monthly operational reviews, including capital budget tracking and reporting, as well as variance analysis against planned figures, in line with financial and operational reporting timelines.
- Complete monthly and quarterly compliance checklists, notifying the Plant Controller of any compliance issues along with suggested updates to controls.
- Generate reports for denaturant received and invoiced for verification of usage and quantities.
- Reconcile chemical purchases for each period to ensure accuracy in usage and quantities.
- Gain cross-training in corn receipts, actualization/settlement, and BDS loading and billing processes.
- Maintain the Project AFE log and review AFEs for appropriate accounting classifications for the Plant Controller, focusing on cost tracking for turnaround and capital projects.
- Prepare and sustain monthly Plant KPIs, including calculations of daily and weekly yields and inventory statistics.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred.
- CPA or MBA credentials are advantageous.
- A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) is essential.
- Experience in a manufacturing accounting environment is preferred.

Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is necessary.
