Job Summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external customers in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare year-end audited financial statements and footnotes in accordance with GAAP.
  • Provide information to and prepare schedules for external auditors necessary to perform interim and fiscal year-end audit test work.
  • Prepare annual tax return (Form 990) and supporting schedules for Nemours, Pediatric Medical Services of Florida, Inc. (PMSI), and the New Jersey Physician Practice.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for the Executive Team and Board, Operational Review Statements for the Executive Team and Operational Managers.
  • Prepare quarterly unaudited financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow) for the Board meetings.
  • Generate monthly and quarterly reports to comply with various bond rating agency requirements.
  • Prepare quarterly lobbying activity report and coordinate meetings with lobbying and GL team.
  • Prepare schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations related to investments, bonds, and the 403(b).
  • Compile and report annual Census data.
  • Cost Reports related to Pennsylvania, Home office, Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware (NCH-DE), and Nemours Children's Hospital, Florida (NCH-FL).
  • Annual CHA Survey and any other annual ad hoc reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
  • 1-5 years of related experience is preferred.
  • Advanced PC skills, including Microsoft Excel (formulas, v-lookup, and the ability to build/manipulate complex spreadsheets), Word, Outlook, Oracle, or other enterprise accounting system experience.
