Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and analyze variances between actual and budgeted performance.

  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and accounting standards, preparing and filing tax returns, and managing interactions with external auditors.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to support decision-making, identify trends, and provide insights into financial performance and business operations.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the company's cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations, handling banking relationships and investment decisions.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, board members, or other stakeholders, communicating complex financial information in an understandable manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
  • 1+ years of experience in a management position.
