Clinical Services Associate Job Description

Penn Medicine is a leading academic medical center dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, conducting innovative research, and educating future healthcare leaders.

This Clinical Services Associate role is a critical part of our team, working closely with top clinical, technical, and business professionals across all disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promptly room patients, review medical history, and prepare charts for visits.
  • Observe patient condition and communicate with providers as needed.
  • Assist with minor surgical procedures, perform EKGs, and collect specimens for testing.
  • Provide excellent patient service, including answering phones, managing patient requests, and scheduling appointments.
  • Maintain accurate records, reconcile cash, and participate in cash reconciliation.
Requirements:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • MA certification within 90 days of hire (if applicable).
  • High school diploma or equivalent, and 2+ years of medical office or customer service experience.
  • Associate's degree preferred, or 7+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
