Job Title: Corporate Controls Engineer

Volt is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Corporate Controls Engineering Department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing plant controls and automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and install plant controls and automation systems, including PLC programming, HMI development, and MES data collection.
  • Provide technical support for controls and automation systems, utilizing the HELP Desk System.
  • Design and specify plant control system architecture, including control panels, hardware, and communication protocols.
  • Develop and enforce process controls standards.
  • Partner with 3rd party controls engineering partners to deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college/university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in controls and automation engineering, preferably in the food and beverage or consumer goods industry.
  • Advanced ladder logic programming skills within Allen Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix).
  • Experience with HMI development, preferably within Wonderware (Aveva) Archestra System Platform.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Familiarity with design/specification of process control panels.
  • Experience with Wonderware MES or a similar MES platform.
  • Experience with .NET programming environment.
  • Experience with SQL databases.
  • Experience with Ethernet/IP communication within a plant control system.
  • Excellent formal and informal communication skills and a professional attitude.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office).
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

  • Competitive salary range: $110,000 - $135,000 per year.
