Job Summary

Mercy Health Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Admissions Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth admission process for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the admissions office process, ensuring timely and accurate data entry and maintenance of statistical records.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance benefits and admitting forms, providing expert guidance to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure accurate census and referral information is disseminated on a daily basis.
  • Develop and implement systems for efficient data-entry and registration of patient information.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring patients have a clear understanding of their insurance benefits and addressing any questions or concerns.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; some college education preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Admitting and/or medical insurance.
  • Proven experience in handling patient admissions and maintaining accurate records.
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance benefits and admitting forms.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
