Referral Specialist

The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled Referral Specialist to join the Bureau of Early Intervention. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing referrals, retrieving case record information, and creating electronic child case records.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in clerical work, with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes per minute. You will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
As a Referral Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the Division of Family and Child Health's mission to promote physical and socio-emotional health, and promote primary and reproductive health services, health equity, social justice, safety, and well-being for New York City families and children.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process referrals in NYEIS/EI Hub
- Retrieve case record information in NYEIS/EI Hub
- Create electronic child case records
- Prepare documents using Word and Excel
- Prepare emails in Outlook
Qualifications:
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization
- One year of satisfactory clerical experience
- Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes per minute
