Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Coordinator to join our team at Fort Worth ISD. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating program goals, objectives, and operations for our Fort Worth After School enrichment programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate program implementation with the program Director, Site Supervisors, participating campus administrators and staff, and service providers.
  • Identify problems and generate solutions through collaborative discussions in the monthly committee meetings.
  • Develop and implement programs that support core school day academics.
  • Cultivate and deliver marketing strategies, communication goals, and objectives for assigned community learning centers.
  • Ensure program variety remains unique and challenging.
  • Respond to concerns of participating campus administrators and provider organization site supervisors.
  • Work with the external and internal evaluators; prepares and provides reports as required.
  • Establish and monitor budget for program operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Selects, trains, supervises, and evaluates staff, and makes recommendations relative to assignment, retention, discipline, and dismissal.
Personal Work Relationships
  • Maintain a commitment to the District's mission, vision, and strategic goals.
  • Exhibit high professionalism, standards of conduct and work ethic.

  • Skill in program management, evaluation, program planning, program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Skill in monitoring/assessing the performance of self, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Ability to manage large grants (i.e., over $1M), fiscal budgets, information systems, and data reporting.
  • Ability to use software to create spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written forms.
  • Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
Travel Requirements
  • Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Physical & Mental Demands, Work Hazards
  • Standard office equipment, including computer and peripherals.
  • Prolonged sitting and standing; occasional stooping, squatting, kneeling, bending, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
  • Frequent repetitive hand motions, including keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching; moderate walking.
  • Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds).
  • Works inside and outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather); exposure to noise; may require occasional irregular and/or prolonged hours.
  • Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position.
  • Maintains emotional control under stress; works with frequent interruptions.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university required; Master's degree from accredited college or university in Education or a related field preferred.
  • None.
  • 3 years' supervising in an education and/or social working setting with a medium-large team (20+ members); Experience with local youth service organization.
  • Bilingual working proficiency (English/Spanish) preferred in some settings.
