About the Role

The Nurse Practitioner will work within a multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care to patients and families in an emergent or acute care setting. This role requires a high degree of clinical expertise working with patients with acute or urgent illnesses commonly encountered within the ED or the BJH specialty urgent care setting.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with patients, families, physicians, medical/surgical trainees, and other health professionals.
  • Demonstrate the highest level of accountability for professional practice by participating in professional development, quality initiative/performance activities, and implementing standards of care within area of specialization.
  • Provide patient and family-centered, compassionate, appropriate, and effective care for managing and treating emergent or urgent health care encounters.
  • Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion, and care coordination for patients and families with acute, emergent, or urgent specialty health needs.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree - Nursing
  • Less than 2 years of experience
  • Licensed APRN in Missouri
  • National APRN Board Certification
