Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the academic departments and services, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement effective operational plans, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care, research, and education.
- Collaborate with department chairs, senior leaders, and other stakeholders to identify and address operational challenges and opportunities.
- Oversee the management of budgets, resources, and personnel to ensure effective use of resources and achievement of departmental goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with department chairs, faculty, and staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and excellence in departmental operations.
- 10+ years of experience in a leadership role within an academic medical center.
- Proven track record of successfully leading teams and achieving results in a metrics-based analytical environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to interact with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen, with experience in budget management, data analysis, and market knowledge.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organizational structure and to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Experience working in a highly matrixed organization or environment.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- MGB and/or HMS experience strongly preferred.
