Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Child Support Specialist I/II to join our team at Oklahoma Human Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for initiating and processing child support enforcement cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze child support cases to determine the most effective course of action.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of payment, legal pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Update computer records and perform locate activities to ensure accurate case management.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreed orders with parties involved in child support cases.
  • Mediate disputes and resolve issues related to child support payments.
  • Monitor and manage case logs to ensure timely and efficient case resolution.
Requirements
  • Child Support Specialist I:
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work, law, or public administration.
    • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional child support enforcement, accounting, legal, or social work for each year of the required education.
  • Child Support Specialist II:
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work, law, or public administration, plus one year of professional experience in child support enforcement, accounting, legal, or social work.
    • OR a master's degree or Juris Doctorate degree.
    • OR an associate's degree in Legal Assistance or a closely related program of paralegal education and two years of qualifying experience.
