Key Responsibilities- Credit Risk Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of credit applications, including obligor credit risk, projections, transaction background, deal structure, facility terms and conditions, and US regulatory classification.
- Executive Summaries: Prepare written executive summaries and comments on credit applications, presenting them to our management team for review and approval.
- Collaboration with Front Office: Engage with our front office team to assist with due diligence and structuring, identify key credit risks, and challenge assumptions prior to formal credit submission.
- Credit Approval Process: Coordinate the credit approval process, liaising between our front office and management team to ensure timely and accurate credit decisions.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Conduct regular monitoring of credit quality, providing feedback to business units to ensure consistent and complete applications, and presenting written memoranda and reports to management as needed.
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience in a credit risk function, preferably with formal credit training.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the Energy corporate sector in North America, including high yield / middle market corporate finance and US regulatory requirements.
- Skills: Critical thinking, risk sensitivity, ability to analyze complex information, and strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
- Education: Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related fields, with MBA/CFA or other professional qualification highly preferred.
