Radiologic Technician Assistant

Position Overview:
The Radiologic Technician Assistant operates under the close guidance of a Radiologic Technologist. This role involves assisting in the administration of X-rays to patients in accordance with established protocols. Responsibilities include aiding in the operation of all equipment utilized in Diagnostic Radiology as well as related devices. The assistant is responsible for preparing patients, equipment, and necessary supplies prior to examinations. Additional tasks may be assigned as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Completion of a minimum of one year in an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program is mandatory.
Skills and Competencies:
The candidate must possess the capability to operate all relevant radiology equipment under the direct supervision of a Radiologic Technologist. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective interaction with patients, physicians, and colleagues. The ability to communicate complex information clearly is vital. Responsibilities also include analyzing and interpreting patient clinical data, adhering to straightforward instructions, and recognizing and reporting safety concerns appropriately. Proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written, is required, along with critical thinking skills, basic mathematical abilities, and effective management of multiple tasks. The role demands excellent organizational skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, problem-solving capabilities, and meticulous attention to detail. The candidate should be able to hear clearly for conversations and identify various sounds in the workplace, as well as possess adequate vision for reading documents and discerning temperature changes through touch.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
