The Pharmacy Technician-One (1) Inpatient plays a vital role in the delivery of patient care by assisting in all aspects of drug distribution within the scope of responsibility. This includes maintaining accurate records and computer data related to patients and medications, while adhering to pharmacy law and written guidelines of the pharmacy department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in both the Loma Linda University Medical Center and Loma Linda University Children's Hospital settings.
Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and computer data related to patients and medications.
- Assist in the distribution of medications to patients in accordance with pharmacy law and written guidelines.
- Perform technical age-specific patient care activities as required.
- Use computer and software programs necessary to the position.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with others, including patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- High School Diploma and Associate's Degree in Pharmacy Technology or completed a course of training specified by the Board required.
- Minimum one year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
- California Pharmacy Technician license required.
