Electrical Sales Manager

Border States is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic sales and marketing plan that drives growth and revenue for our company. You will work closely with our branch managers and account managers to provide coaching and development, and establish strong relationships with high-level influencers and decision-makers at key and target customers.

- Work closely with key manufacturers and their representatives to establish strong relationships.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences, and use this knowledge to inform sales and marketing strategies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, and develop and implement plans to capture these opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to drive business results.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and other financial plans to ensure the success of the sales and marketing team.
- Identify and mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments, and use this knowledge to inform sales and marketing strategies.
- 10+ years of experience in sales and marketing, with a focus on the electrical industry.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of success.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong technical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business software.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
