Role Summary

The Retail Operations Manager oversees all aspects of the Papa Murphy's establishment, fostering a workplace culture that aligns with the company's core principles of Quality, Service, Integrity, and Teamwork.

Key Responsibilities


• Efficiently manage the operations of a single store, focusing on profitability, employee relations, marketing strategies, and minimizing waste.


• Promote the professional growth of team members through supportive leadership.


• Ensure adherence to operational standards within the store.


• Conduct inspections of preparation areas, equipment, and utensils to maintain sanitary conditions as per company and local health regulations.


• Generate reports to monitor metrics such as food costs, waste, sales, inventory, and employee hours.


• Develop and supervise the preparation of products according to the established guidelines.


• Oversee the physical facility, including minor repairs and preventive maintenance of equipment.


• Manage inventory levels of food and beverage items.


• Ensure that orders to vendors align with store guidelines and monitor delivery accuracy.


• Communicate changes in menu items or pricing and encourage team members to promote specials.


• Analyze sales trends to maintain appropriate product levels.


• Address customer feedback and concerns professionally to ensure total guest satisfaction.


• Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in bank deposits and cash drawers.


• Recruit, interview, and train team members, conducting performance evaluations and managing disciplinary actions as necessary.


• Prepare weekly schedules for team members in compliance with local scheduling laws.


• Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws.


• Respond to customer needs promptly and solicit feedback to enhance service quality.


• Participate in local marketing initiatives to promote the store.


• Maintain a professional appearance and ensure team members do the same.


• Assist in pizza preparation as needed to maintain assembly times.

Required Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED is required. Experience: 2-5 years of supervisory experience in the quick service restaurant industry. Licensure and Certification: Food Handlers Card and/or Serve Safe Certification preferred. Must pass a criminal background check. Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership, integrity, and honesty. Effective people management skills. Proficient written and verbal communication abilities. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to handle challenging customer situations. Basic computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and POS systems. Fundamental math skills for weights and measurements. Understanding of financial aspects related to store operations.

• Flexibility to cover shifts as needed.


• Ability to maintain safety standards in all areas.


• Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks.


• Occasionally required to bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch.


• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.


• Consistent punctuality and attendance are essential.
