We are looking for Lead Educators to be part of our Twos preschool daycare programs across various campuses:

  • Apple Ridge/Montgomery Village - Serving upper Montgomery County, Gaithersburg, and Goshen areas.
  • Bells Mill/Potomac - Located in Potomac near Cabin John and Bells Mill Elementary Schools.
  • Greenwood/Hyattsville - Conveniently situated by Prince George's Plaza (metro accessible).
  • Potomac Village - Centrally located in Potomac, with public transportation access.

Positions may be available on a full-time or part-time basis. Your responsibilities will include addressing the individual needs of our students and fostering a nurturing environment that promotes independence and trust.

The compensation for this role starts at $22/hr for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address the educational needs and interests of preschool children through a creative and age-appropriate curriculum.
  • Supervise preschool children to ensure their health, welfare, and safety.
  • Support the physical, socio-emotional, and developmental needs of each child in the classroom.
  • Exhibit effective leadership within the classroom team.
  • Communicate effectively and maintain positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the community.
  • Manage the classroom to create a consistent, safe, and positive learning environment for all students and staff.

The educational/certification requirements for a Lead Educator in our Twos preschool program include a minimum of the MSDE 90hr Preschool Certification or a CDA with the Preschool Endorsement.

Our ideal candidate will possess 1-3 years of relevant experience along with the following qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of child development principles and instructional strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of MSDE regulations.
  • A warm, friendly, and composed demeanor.
  • Proficient technological skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and reading proficiency.
  • Consistent reliability in attendance and punctuality.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative.

In accordance with Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care regulations, all applicants must undergo and successfully pass a state and federal background check as a condition of employment.
