We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Transportation Associate II to join our team at HouseSmart Construction, a division of Clayton Homes. As a key member of our transportation team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our manufactured homes to customers across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Escort Services: Safely escort CDL drivers and transportation supervisors to deliver manufactured homes to customers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Site Preparation and Setup: Assist in preparing and setting up homes on site, including trimming trees, moving obstacles, and identifying potential issues.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain various equipment, including house tugs, jade, platypus, and other specialized machinery.
  • Customer Service and Communication: Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with customers, drivers, and supervisors to ensure a smooth delivery process.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Driving Record: Possess a clean driving record with minimal to no driving infractions, especially as it relates to speeding, following too closely, handheld device usage, etc.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to climb ladders, crawl underneath homes, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Education and Training: High school diploma or equivalent required; CDL license and DOT medical card a plus.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
