Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Access and Assessment Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral and Mental Health team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of behavioral health patients across our system.
Responsibilities:- Provide expertise in behavioral and medical needs assessment for behavioral health patients, identifying placement barriers and recommending the most appropriate treatment setting.
- Work closely with MGB BMH leadership to deliver on established performance and efficiency metrics, tracking, analyzing, and presenting data to demonstrate progress and areas for improvement.
- Lead change management efforts, maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders to ensure active engagement and broad commitment to a system-focused culture.
- Collaborate with clinical leaders systemwide to foster effective change management and develop new inpatient behavioral health admissions workflows.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN required. Master's degree preferred.
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Massachusetts, required.
- 5-year nurse leader experience in inpatient psychiatry or emergency department settings, required.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Interest in hospital-wide and other asset-based capacity challenges, with understanding of downstream effects on patient flow.
- Self-motivated with high degree of initiative, and ability to manage critical issues relating to patient care and changing organization climate.
