Key Responsibilities
The Police Department is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Records Management Specialist. This role involves various customer service tasks related to the management and release of police records. Key duties include:
  • Providing exceptional service to the public and other agencies by processing and maintaining police records.
  • Managing police documentation, including filing reports, redacting sensitive information, and purging outdated records.
  • Responding to inquiries about departmental policies and procedures, including handling complaints and service requests.
  • Performing administrative and clerical tasks such as answering calls, sorting mail, and maintaining organized filing systems.
  • Assisting law enforcement personnel by providing critical information through various communication channels.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the necessary skills for this position. A typical qualification includes:
  • Completion of high school education or equivalent.
  • Two years of diverse administrative support experience, preferably in a law enforcement context.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required.
Licenses and Certifications
Candidates must be able to obtain a LEDS certificate.
