Weekend Caregiver Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Weekend Caregiver to join our team at Toward Maximum Independence (TMI). As a Weekend Caregiver, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide overnight assistance and support to clients in their homes and communities.
  • Assist in developing and implementing annual Supported Living Plans (SLPs) to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Build relationships with clients, family members, friends, and community members to create a circle of support.
  • Develop individualized adaptive support materials as needed.
  • Coordinate and monitor other services, such as Medi-Cal and Social Security.
  • Provide personal support, including toileting, bathing, and feeding, as necessary.
  • Encourage clients to participate in integrated community activities.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience in social services, education, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • 3 years of driving experience, if applicable.
