Job Summary

The Marketing Assistant will provide support to the Advancement team in various marketing efforts, including event support, audience engagement, and social media. This role is ideal for students pursuing a degree in marketing, business, or related fields.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support live events, including media partnerships and co-presenting events
  • Assist with building event web pages, ticketing pages, and invitations
  • Manage guest lists and execute ticket giveaways
  • Assist with creating event logistics plans and working with stakeholders
  • Respond to audience queries and optimize Zendesk flow
  • Create, design, and schedule social media posts
  • Analyze social media results and develop a draft social media strategy
  • Support supervisor in conducting competitive analysis of nonprofits in the D.C. region
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in marketing, business, or related fields
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Interest in public media
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility, initiative, and ability to multitask and work independently and as part of a team
  • Be a Federal Work-Study student
