About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and talented professional to work in interdisciplinary-focused and patient-centered care. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide direct speech therapy services to patients as ordered by a physician and in accordance with the Plan of Care.
Key Responsibilities:- Speech Therapy Services: Perform direct speech therapy services to patients, preparing engaging exercises and activities to use during speech sessions.
- Counseling and Consultations: Provide counseling and consultations for new patients and their family members, creating goals and objectives for patients to work toward and identifying areas of progress and challenges.
- Equipment Preparation: Prepare speech pathology equipment ensuring proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed.
- Certificate and License: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Therapy and Licensed in the State of Texas.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer software commonly used for documentation and report preparation.
- Education: Master's degree in speech therapy required.
- Professional Qualities: Demonstrate knowledge and adherence to HIPAA legislation and other patient privacy laws, exhibit physical endurance and ability to work primarily in a standing position, and maintain a friendly and professional demeanor when explaining procedures and treatments.
- Competitive Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year based on experience.
