Position Overview

As a Maintenance Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our operations, focusing on the coordination of maintenance activities and procurement of necessary resources. This position requires collaboration with research and operational teams to ensure the effective execution of maintenance tasks, ultimately supporting equipment reliability and availability.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Reliability Management
  • Oversee the administrative aspects of the mechanical reliability program, including routine testing and inspection of critical equipment.
  • Plan and execute projects related to new units and maintenance of facilities.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and databases for projects and critical equipment.
  • Develop maintenance plans within SAP to streamline scheduling processes.
  • Collaborate with research leaders to coordinate necessary testing and inspections.
Contractor Coordination
  • Work with the Contract Management Group to secure qualified contractors for project needs.
  • Draft scopes of work for contractor bids and manage contractor activities in the facility.
  • Create work orders in SAP for ongoing and temporary contract services.
Maintenance and Electrical Support
  • Collaborate with maintenance and electrical teams to plan daily operations using SAP.
  • Procure parts and materials for maintenance tasks through SAP requisitions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and update maintenance procedures and documentation.
  • Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple tasks independently.
  • Background in maintenance or operations within the chemical processing sector.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to adhere to safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a research lab, manufacturing, or petrochemical environment, or an associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
  • Experience in troubleshooting equipment and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of production, process, or maintenance engineering.
  • Familiarity with SAP certifications and maintenance leadership.
