About the Role:
Rivian is seeking a skilled Parts Counter Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our service locations, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring seamless parts management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal partners to assist with service needs and coordinate with Regional Parts Specialists, Technicians, Advisors, and local Management.
- Manage inventory, process standardization, continuous improvement, and escalate issues as needed.
- Train and guide others on receiving and stocking parts, managing inventory, and dealing with customer questions and objections.
- Explain and execute processes, such as warranty returns, shipping, and channel planning, and provide feedback.
- Understand and explain the physical inventory process, including preparation and execution.
- Provide constant communication and feedback to the channel planning team to ensure proper MIN/MAX levels.
- Identify and resolve common discrepancies in parts procurement, review for human error transactions, and collaborate to improve processes.
- Source or look up and understand parts assemblies and subassemblies.
- Physically and systematically receive parts and/or allocate back orders.
- Utilize a forklift in required areas for transporting and organizing parts.
Requirements:
- 4 years of Customer Facing Service, material handling/inventory management, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work independently, ordering, receiving, distributing, and auditing parts, making recommendations to internal and external clients, addressing customer objections.
- Frequent use of hands for grasping and using tools correctly, entering data, writing communications, or calling customers or internal partners.
- Ability to read and speak fluent English.
- Ability to see, read, and interpret documents, such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, or schematics.
- Must be available for a regular schedule of 40 hours a week, including weekends and holidays, according to business need.

- Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $26.73 per hour (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
