Radiologic Nuclear Medicine Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of the Chief of Medical Imaging, the Radiologic Nuclear Medicine Specialist is responsible for executing all Nuclear Medicine procedures, including SPECT/CT and PET/CT, in alignment with departmental protocols.

  • Conduct high-quality nuclear medicine examinations for incoming patients; potential for cross-training in PET/CT procedures.
  • Ensure accurate doses and radionuclides are procured daily.
  • Verify the correctness of the radionuclide through assay procedures.
  • Administer radionuclides safely and effectively.
  • Provide contrast agents as necessary, ensuring patient safety.
  • Monitor patient comfort throughout examinations, addressing any discomfort or medical concerns promptly.
  • Support patients through the examination process by providing clear communication and addressing their inquiries.
  • Collaborate with physicians regarding patient needs and concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in a health-related field or completion of a Nuclear Medicine certificate program.
  • Current ARRT/N or CNMT certification.
  • Valid NYS Radiologic license and ARRT/R or ARRT/CT certification.
  • Current NYS Nuclear Medicine license.
Compensation: $56.40 per hour

Compensation is determined by experience, skills, and educational background. Pay rates may vary based on location and position classification under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
