Senior Account Manager

The Senior Account Manager is a key business contact for clients, responsible for providing innovative and efficient account services while possessing and applying knowledge of industry trends and related regulations.
This position requires developing and maintaining favorable internal and external relationships to provide the highest level of customer service by meeting or exceeding industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the servicing of a designated book of business, including marketing, claims, and administration.
- Research and resolve policy-related issues, implementing effective solutions.
- Recommend process enhancements, product improvements, and policy changes.
- Analyze industry trends and provide related client guidance, using discretion and independent judgment.
- Develop financial models and reports for clients and senior staff, providing interpretation and implications of analysis.
- Provide strategic planning and consultative advice to clients, including coverage plan production, analysis, and recommendations.
- Engage in client strategy meetings to manage insured expectations for upcoming terms.
- Develop and present coverage plans and renewal terms to clients.
- Assess and interpret exposure information from clients.
- Analyze quotes from carriers to determine appropriate recommendations.
- Interpret and evaluate policy terms to ensure adequate coverage for clients' identified exposure.
- Participate in negotiations with carriers for new and renewal quotes.
- Collaborate with senior staff in selecting new markets for submission and requesting quotes.
- Review new business opportunity information and provide related recommendations to Unit Manager/Account Executive.
- Establish and maintain relationships and interfaces with clients, carriers, and other vendors.
- Research and understand industry trends and government regulations.
- Mentor and train junior-level staff.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or years of experience equivalent.
- Typically, three or more years of client services experience is required.
- Demonstrates strong working knowledge and experience within the brokerage/commercial insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Understands industry trends and governmental regulations.
- Ability to attend industry training sessions.
- Readiness to expand knowledge and effectiveness in the insurance industry by successful completion of extended insurance education beyond continuing education requirements as needed.
- Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting the confidentiality of client and company information.
- Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, project team members, and associates at all levels of responsibility, representing Lockton in the highest professional manner.
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours.
- Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and be away from home more than one day and night.
- Legally able to work in the United States.
