Medical Laboratory Specialist

Exceptional Health Care is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to support its laboratory team in Lubbock, TX.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct a range of laboratory tests, including hematology, chemistry, coagulation, immunoassay, urinalysis, point of care, and blood banking.
- Operate automated equipment and specialized instrumentation to prepare samples for analysis, aiding in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases.
- Manage daily workload within the department to ensure timely completion of patient testing.
- Review quality control results prior to reporting patient results and take corrective action when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the laboratory team.
- A minimum of an Associate's degree in medical technology, chemistry, physical, or biological science.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- ASCP certification or equivalent.
- At least one year of hospital laboratory experience.
- Knowledge of hospital laboratory practices, including infection control requirements and chemical and biological hazards.
- Knowledge of governmental and regulatory policies and standards.
