Exceptional Health Care is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to support its laboratory team in Lubbock, TX.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a range of laboratory tests, including hematology, chemistry, coagulation, immunoassay, urinalysis, point of care, and blood banking.
  • Operate automated equipment and specialized instrumentation to prepare samples for analysis, aiding in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases.
  • Manage daily workload within the department to ensure timely completion of patient testing.
  • Review quality control results prior to reporting patient results and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the laboratory team.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of an Associate's degree in medical technology, chemistry, physical, or biological science.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • ASCP certification or equivalent.
  • At least one year of hospital laboratory experience.
  • Knowledge of hospital laboratory practices, including infection control requirements and chemical and biological hazards.
  • Knowledge of governmental and regulatory policies and standards.
