Job Description

The Forest Stewards Guild is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the role of Southeast Region Coordinator. This position will play a critical role in supporting the growth of the Guild's presence in the Southern Appalachian Mountains through member engagement, outreach, and education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement outreach and education materials related to ecological forestry in print and digital formats.
  • Engage and serve current members while attracting new members through field trips, conference calls, meetings, and virtual events.
  • Assist with training for Guild field crews and youth corps participants.
  • Coordinate events and lead workshops and field trips.
  • Convene and facilitate collaborative and community meetings.
  • Represent the Guild at collaborative partnership meetings, events, and conferences.
  • Manage project workflow and collaborate with a team using software such as Asana, Slack, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Maintain relationships with diverse project partners across the region.

This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ecological forestry, community engagement, and project management.
