RESIDENTIAL SERVICES COORDINATOR
The Housing Authority of the City of Reno is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Residential Services Coordinator. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in dynamic settings, appreciate engaging with a variety of clients, and are committed to enhancing community welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts interviews with applicants and clients, evaluates documentation for accuracy and completeness, and updates client records.
- Assesses initial and ongoing eligibility for various low-income housing programs.
- Implements federal guidelines and organizational policies to determine tenant rent and subsidy amounts.
- Responds to inquiries regarding eligibility, program adherence, and rent calculations, utilizing knowledge of federal guidelines and organizational policies.
- Maintains a priority system for housing programs and ensures a certified pool of applicants is available.
- Reviews documentation and communicates with applicants, clients, and landlords regarding regulations, policy updates, rent adjustments, program infractions, and other relevant information.
- Collaborates with community organizations, social service agencies, and local government to promote available programs and services.
- Facilitates individual or group sessions to clarify program requirements.

Qualifications:
The minimum requirements for this position include:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of progressively responsible case management experience involving client interviews for public housing or social service programs, or in property management.
- Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge and skills as determined by Human Resources.
