Position Summary
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Extrusion Machine Operator for our PVC facility. This role is crucial to our production team and reports directly to the Production Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and manage extrusion machinery and production lines dedicated to pipe manufacturing.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards while optimizing production efficiency.
- Conduct regular quality inspections using precision measuring tools including micrometers and calipers.
- Accurately package products and maintain detailed production records.
- Identify and report any non-conformance issues to the Supervisor or Lead Hands, facilitating necessary corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Joint Health & Safety Committee to uphold a safe and clean working environment.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required, with proficiency in reading, writing, and basic mathematics.
- Familiarity with measurement systems and previous experience in a manufacturing setting is highly desirable; experience in plastics is a plus.
- Competence in using hand tools and measuring instruments is essential.
- Previous forklift operation experience is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to learning and teamwork.

Working Conditions
This position requires physical stamina, including prolonged periods of standing, walking, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The work environment is fast-paced and demands a high level of sensory awareness.
