Job Summary

The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities across the Extrusion Maintenance Department. This includes creating work orders, distributing preventative maintenance tasks, and managing spare parts inventory. You will also be responsible for implementing and operating a preventative maintenance program, labeling and marking shelves and parts, and maintaining a complete inventory of spare parts and auxiliary equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and issue work orders to the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Distribute preventative maintenance work orders to ensure equipment is maintained throughout the plant
  • Manage the spare parts inventory to ensure timely repairs and replacements
  • Organize and maintain the Tool Crib to ensure efficient use of equipment
  • Implement and operate a preventative maintenance program to reduce downtime and improve equipment efficiency
  • Label and mark shelves and parts to ensure accurate tracking and inventory management
  • Maintain a complete inventory of spare parts and auxiliary equipment to ensure timely repairs and replacements
  • Enter data into the maintenance software system to track work orders, inventory, and PMs
  • Responsible for the hiring and placement of contractors in compliance with EH&S/ISMS
  • Ensure maintenance repair items, parts, and inventories are readily available to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency
Requirements
  • 2-5 years' experience in a Maintenance Manufacturing environment, preferably in a similar role
  • 2-5 years' experience with the use of a maintenance software system (CMMS)
  • A proven track record in a continuous improvement manufacturing environment with ISO 9001
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills
  • A strong working knowledge of computers using word processing, spreadsheets, Outlook, and SAP
