Job Summary

This is a management position that involves leading the store's decorative and design efforts. As a key member of the store team, you will be responsible for driving sales and providing an exceptional shopping experience to every customer.

Main Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Drive, teach, and adhere to retail best practices to include people, product, price, purchasing, position, presentation, promotion, and pro services. Engage customers, provide quality service, and ensure store associates deliver exceptional experiences.
  • Administrative: Conduct weekly competitive shops, communicate pricing and inventory issues to senior teams, analyze business reports (P&L, CPR, BAT, STPOA, STPRC) to optimize merchandising, in-stock levels, and pricing. Utilize computer and POS systems for accurate inventory management, cycle counts, and profit control.
  • Supervisory: Ensure optimal scheduling during peak periods, review associate performance, train, develop, supervise, and assign workload as needed. Monitor retention, career development, and address unsatisfactory performance and policy violations through disciplinary action and counseling.
  • Store Operations: Assist the Chief Executive Merchant with human resources or loss prevention issues, open and close stores effectively, and maintain compliance with company policies and expectations.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of retail management experience with proven ability to direct operations.
  • Ability to work in high-volume, complex locations, demonstrate initiative, and exercise independent judgment in managing fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in recruiting, hiring, and training associates, and increasing market share.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure.

Working Conditions

  • Frequently exposed to warehouse environments and moving vehicles, with moderate noise levels.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Estimated Annual Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 based on location and experience.
