Job Overview

Sulzer USA Inc. is seeking a skilled Pump Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service quality in the installation, assembly, and disassembly of pumps and seals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and assist in troubleshooting, installation, and repair of pumps and seals.
  • Travel globally to various job sites as dispatched by the Field Service Manager.
  • Manage documentation by completing and forwarding all necessary paperwork for jobs to the corporate office.
  • Identify sales opportunities by informing the closest Service Center of potential sales activities while on site.
  • Promote a safe and efficient work environment by supporting, cooperating with, and participating in our company-wide LEAN and EHS Management System.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience in a pump factory or Service Center, with skills in different work processes of pump manufacturing, assembly, or testing.
  • Excellent written, verbal, negotiation, and listening skills.
  • Strong ability to utilize technical knowledge and analytical skills to resolve problems and customer complaints.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in the latest Microsoft software. Experience with SAP and Gelco expense reporting is a plus.
