Surgical Care Nurse Practitioner

Albany Medical Center seeks a skilled Surgical Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform minor surgical procedures as needed.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote healthy behaviors and disease management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
