Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team at Albany Medical Center.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage patients, including ordering diagnostic tests, consultations, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, taking into account patient needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
  • Administer medications, perform minor surgery, and conduct patient education.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including coding and billing information.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

This role requires standing, walking, and lifting, with occasional pushing, pulling, and climbing. The ability to work in a dynamic environment with frequent changes in priorities is essential.
