Detroit Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Developmental Specialist for a full-time evening shift position in Detroit, Michigan.

**Job Description**
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Developmental Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide developmentally appropriate services that reduce distress, increase adaptive coping, and protect and enhance developmental integrity. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping hospitalized and ambulatory children adjust to the healthcare experience. You will also participate in program planning, team meetings, and educational programs to promote adaptation to treatment and support family bonds.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child Growth and Development, Recreational Therapy, or a related field, and be eligible for certification as a Child Life Specialist by the Child Life Certification Commission. You must also have 600 hours of internship experience, including six weeks of training in pediatrics. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and technical skills are essential for this position, as you will need to assess patient needs, develop and provide appropriate services, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

**Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year**
