Position Summary:
We are in search of a Geotechnical Principal Engineer to take charge of various facets of geotechnical engineering projects. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring project success and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop technical proposals, estimates, plans, specifications, and reports.
- Conduct comprehensive engineering analyses and computations, employing relevant engineering software.
- Oversee geotechnical drilling operations and supervise field observations as necessary.
- Ensure quality control during construction by conducting site visits and reviewing daily reports.
- Evaluate geotechnical reports produced by other professionals.
- Maintain effective communication with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams to foster collaboration.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Design and implement training programs for emerging professionals in geotechnical engineering.
- Contribute to business development and marketing strategies.
- Present project-specific or technical information to clients and stakeholders.
- Cultivate relationships with clients and professional organizations.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering, focusing on analysis, design, and project management.
- Proficient in geotechnical applications and soil-structure interaction.
- Familiarity with software for slope, retaining wall, and foundation analysis.
- Experience with soft soil and finite element modeling is preferred.
- Ability to independently evaluate soil conditions and provide design recommendations.
- Knowledge of tunneling techniques is advantageous.
- Experience in dam-related services and leadership roles is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills for technical documentation and report writing.
- Capable of effective project planning and management.
- Must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- A valid driver's license is required, along with a willingness to travel as needed.
- A Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred.

Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Excel for data tracking and analysis, as well as Word and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
