Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Direction: Formulate and execute production strategies that align with the broader business goals. Provide inspirational leadership to the production team to meet operational targets and drive growth.
  • Operational Supervision: Manage all production activities, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and cost management. Introduce best practices and continuous improvement strategies to boost productivity and minimize waste.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire, guide, and cultivate a high-performing production team. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and innovation while ensuring effective communication across all production areas.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancement and apply lean manufacturing principles. Lead initiatives to improve production efficiency, shorten lead times, and elevate overall operational performance.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain rigorous quality control protocols. Oversee production processes to ensure products consistently meet or exceed established quality benchmarks.
  • Supply Chain Collaboration: Work closely with supply chain and logistics teams to guarantee timely production scheduling, effective inventory management, and prompt delivery of finished products.
  • Financial Oversight: Create and manage the production budget. Track spending, optimize resource distribution, and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality or safety.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations. Advocate for a safe workplace and lead initiatives aimed at reducing workplace incidents.
  • Innovation and Technology: Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements. Assess and integrate new technologies and automation solutions to improve production capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with senior leadership to align production strategies with business objectives. Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory entities.

Qualifications:

Experience: At least 15 years of experience in manufacturing, with a minimum of 10 years in a leadership capacity within the consumer goods sector.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
